We are currently seeking short-story submissions! Notes from a Barstool could be your opportunity to join the ranks of the published fraternity. We are currently seeking short-story submissions for the second issue, so if you want to get published, now’s your chance! Whilst our intention is to promote writers local to Guildford and the Surrey area, this is not a pre-requisite for submissions. We are not an old-school literary publication. Our directive is to seek out writers who can spin a good yarn, generate laughter or simply create a piece that makes us go wow! We publish short contemporary stories (with a strong emphasis on ‘short’). Flash fiction is the preferred option (500 words or less), but we are willing to stretch to 2000 words as a maximum. Notes from a Barstool will generally be biased towards shorter works. We are not currently seeking poetry or non fiction... but may well do so in the near future. Contact us if you're in any doubt to any of the guidelines or require more information as to the kind of creativity we're after.
